You are a great writer. I felt every emotion. You’re writing history. Pls, when the trial ends, put these articles in a book. Your articles remind me of the Vanity Fair articles under Tina Brown in the 90s. You’re amazing. God bless.
As I read this, I kept thinking about just how soul crushing this is for the victims. Thing is, this isn’t just a job for them. And it’s more than just a career they’re trying to build - this is performing ARTS. Art. Art is an extension of the artist, it’s a window into their heart, their experiences, how the world has shaped them. Their art is their expression, it’s their vulnerability on display. And to be exploited and abused (words that I feel have been so overused as to no longer adequately express the gravity of meaning) the way they were is just that much more egregious. Like, how do we, as parents of kids drawn to performing arts, encourage them and their craft, knowing that the professional performing arts world is truly entering a form of hell on earth? Has ANYONE in the biz ever survived with their soul intact? Will the devil even allow it?
Wow, just wow. After reading this, I can understand how everyone covering this trial wants to leave and take a shower to wash off the disgust and sadness. Excellent work..stay strong. 💪
It feels like I am reading a really great book one chapter at a time. I don't want it to end, but I also want to know how it ends. :) You really are an incredible writer. Thank you for all of the effort and energy you put into your writing.
This story is complicated. It’s twisted and devastating. You’ve put the threads together so we can see into this evil orbit. Guard yourself and thank you.
