Alice, here I am publicly apologizing for questioning your opinion. Watching the crumbling of HIH was like finding out your best friend slept with your husband. We all believed in her and her mission, the people who were publicly involved and supporting her until she sidelined and attacked Emily and Denise. No one likes to see someone be treated as they were treated especially by a so called friend.
So…you were right and I am sorry. This article was fire 🔥.

On election night I noticed Jessica melting down like a brat over not getting into the party. I think she credits herself for single-handedly getting Trump and RFK elected. There were other signs but after that night I really became laser focused on her oddities. The drinking, the mean girl, the long drawn out IG stories condemning anyone who critiqued her. Rant after rant. Then the whole Nuzzi thing. Big-bones? Well at least now her morbidly obese East Coast BFF “Blair” knows what she really thinks of her.
I saw this woman’s personality disorder on full display.
When I messaged Kiik, I realized I wasn’t the only one. But no one was talking about it... until Candace!
That husband. I sent him a recommendation for an LA divorce attorney but he seems satisfied with the abuse. Kind of a dim bulb that one. Give him a geeetarr and he’s a happy camper.
I remember when you were trying to reach Emilie about Blu Cantrell (if I’m remembering) and Jessica was posting your stuff. But then you grew and she couldn’t have that. She had to be the one the only queen of Instagram with her “curated aesthetic”. Barfffff.
I, too, should have listened to my intuition. I picked up on that “mean-girl” energy in the beginning and ignored it. And it really disturbed me that she was so far left she went to the women’s pink hat march (eyeroll). I don’t think we should forget that the women she “slaughtered” also participated in the mean-girl behavior and the slandering of others. All that was forgotten because they were screwed over. Yet they’d still be behaving badly if they hadn’t been trampled by the Queen Bee. But now they play victim. Perhaps not a popular opinion, but the truth nevertheless.

I stopped subscribing too before this all happened. Just looked at what I could cut and tbh during the election all the paid subscribers were getting was political content which is okay for a few articles and then…yawn… that’s not what I pay a celebrity gossip stack for. So I’m a little clueless

You nailed it! This article describes exactly what it was like in real time, watching her become what she is now. I requested a refund and was unsubscribed and blocked, with no refund of course. The same thing happened with another subscriber I know of for sure, so how many others were blocked and had paid for the year already?

I wasn’t even planning on renewing last November because I wasn’t interested in all of the political coverage. I received an email stating that my subscription would not renew due to my credit card expiring and that I had to give them my new card info. Cool, I thought. Don’t have to do anything. My dumbass didn’t check my credit card, it expired 6 months later lol. I got another email November 1st saying my subscription renewed. So I said screw it, I liked Emilie and the other writers. Now this 🤣
Great article. I took the 2 shirts, 1 hat and 1 sticker back to her. I put everything in an Elmo Easter basket I was gonna donate to Goodwill with a note saying I was taking out the garbage (she referenced that to either Emily or Denise). Her RFK 666 van was parked at her office with the window down so I left it there. When I unsubscribed to the hair vitamins from one of her first supporters I said I wouldn't use anything that Jessica made money from. I feel badly for her boys to go from having their mom basically worshiped, to this shit show she created. I hope the fallout for them is minimal. I wish her what she deserves.

Honestly I was friends with a lot of her writers and I saw what was going on behind the scenes and she was really mean to another Instagram account and basically we were just trying to get her attention because we really liked her and we like wanted to work for her😅😅 but she fucked that up.
Honestly was just discussing with my husband where we could cut in our budget and during elections what she was giving to paid subscribers was all election content which was okay for a few posts but tbh I’m there for celebrity gossip. I can think on my own when it comes to politics. I don’t have a problem with her views but that’s not why I was paying so I just stopped being a paid subscriber. Now the only substack I pay for is coffeeandcovid

This was fantastic work! I followed the fallout closely as well. Great work. I started to feel something was off with HIH around election time. Then alarms really went off when bindergate 😆 we’re truly never getting that info. And I, too, wonder why, and if trumps involvement is more than we ever knew? Ugh. Really having to pray and ask for discernment with who we follow. I really enjoyed her content, she was my first person for awhile in my story lineup. I will admit that after trump lost 2020, I unfollowed a lot of creators who i felt were doom & gloom and HIH was fun for awhile. Her cozying up to RFK late 2022? Really weirded me out. Alarms went off then and i brushed them off, dang it!

Bottom line is her stories were a blast to watch/read during the election- much of it due to her friendship w Denise, and Denise’s photos- her aesthetics were a huge part of her brand! And her ‘ghostwriters’ were cool and fun. It felt like a (nice) popular besties’ club we were all invited into. When she came for them in such an ugly way- the doxxing and sharing of Denise’s personal issues- OMG it was so shocking- That she could be such a nasty b/tch! I haven’t unfollowed her (yet) but the magic is gone..Denise & Emilie are adorable talented girls who deserved much better!! Jessica’s lack of remorse or real apology is gross. There’s nothing cool about being mean & stabbing your bestie in the back. .
