Spiro using a legal loophole in JayZ- Jane Doe Case
"Spiro is a fixer. Hes the male Olivia Pope." -Jaguar Wright (the š)
Jay-Z promptly responded to an anonymous accuser who named him in a sexual assault lawsuit alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs. Jay-Z filed a lawsuit against attorney Tony Buzbee, accusing him of extortion. The lawyer had reached out to him before initiating the lawsuit. The judge recently reprimanded Jay-Zās attorney for lashing out at Buzbee. Despite this, their plan is to use a legal loophole to have the case dismissed.

Here is what Jay-Zās attorney plans on doing to try to end the Jay-Z assault case before it starts. His attorney wants his lawsuit thrown out thanks to a legal loophole. The old statute of limitationsā¦.
An unidentified woman has sued Jay-Z and Sean āDiddyā Combs for a sexual assault that she claims happened when she was 13 years old. While her story has several discrepancies, including her own father questioning the claims, a judge has agreed to let her remain anonymous in the lawsuit and has told the defense team to stop attacking her. I myself have found inconsistencies in her story. For example, she said that she met Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, and he wasn't even in the area. But that doesn't mean her story didn't happen.
It's also not the first time someone has come out and accused victims of lying. Jaguar Wright also says Adrea and Meshas stories don't align either. Mesha said she was the one in the DandG top. When, in fact, it was Anna Kane. Andrea and Mesha both went on the Lionel B. show on YouTube and had some explosive allegations. But if one was a lie? Were they all lies? Mesha claims to have met Ally as well. And Ally said, Nope! Ally said she was homeschooling. Craming years worth of information into her brain to get her GED. Mesha has also come forward herself after the DandG story was proven to be a lie. Mesha apologized and said she wished Andrea had never said anything about the DandG top. She knew that wasn't her case. So she kinda blames it on someone else. Never really taking full accountability for answering the question. When Lionel straight up asked her, āAre you The girl in the D and G top?ā She answered āYes, I am. That's me.ā KNOWING it wasn't her. If it wasn't her, why even speak on it? She could have easily said. No, that's not me in the picture. But it is someone that we are working with. That simple. And that's what makes it so hard to believe this Jane Doe. Accusers are coming out every week. But are these stories real?
The defense team has devised an alternative strategy to remove the rapper from the lawsuit.Ā Attorney Alex Spiro said the statute that Jane Doe is suing under didnāt take effect until after the alleged sexual assault. She lacks grounds for the lawsuit now. The rapper is unable to apply it retroactively. The woman claims the assault happened in September 2000. Three months later, in December 2000, TMZ announced the enactment of the statute.

Spiro also said that if the statute did apply, it could only cover conduct in New York City. He said the location of the alleged assault was not in New York City. According to the lawsuit, someone drove her from Radio City Music Hall to a ālarge, white residence with a gated U-shaped drivewayā about 20 minutes away.ā He said that any residence that fits that description is outside of New York City. There is one more problem. The incident allegedly happened in September 2000. The statute of limitations on those possible claims expired in August 2021. Jane Doeās attorney said that these are just ātechnical argumentsā and that they will move forward. You would think that Buzbee would have vetted this case a little bit better, seeing as how the inconsistencies are so blindingly obvious. A simple mom like me can put the dots together.
āThese are technical arguments being made, and the law is clearly on our side and the side of alleged victims,ā he said. "The law clearly establishes our correctness." Buzbee filed the original lawsuit for Jane Doe in October. Buzbee refiled it in December to add Jay-Zās name as a defendant. Jay-Z did not like that very much. Jay-Z voiced his disapproval on social media, calling Buzzbee into question. Jay-Z refutes the claims and accuses Buzbee of a "blackmail attempt." He and his company, Roc Nation, responded to the lawsuit shortly after the news surfaced Sunday on X. Carter, believed to have written the statement himself, accuses Buzbee of previously attempting to extort both him and his lawyer. He also called him 'deplorable.'
Given that Judge Analisa Torres has already ordered Jane Doe to remain anonymous. It remains unclear whether she will consider the new motions. Judge Analisa is not one to mess around with. As previously mentioned, Judge Analisa was furious with defense attorney Spiro. Also known as Olivia Pope to high-profile celebrities and politicians. And many from within the deep state, I'm sure. She chastised the lawyer representing Jay-Z for what she described as his combative motions and "inflammatory language" against the plaintiff's lawyer, deeming them inappropriate.
Who exactly is Alex Spiro? Many in the industry, including Jag, believe that Alex Spiro is a big-time fixer who only comes out when major problems arise. Kind of like Olivia Pope. She only appeared on camera when there was a significant event that required her attention. Well, he's that. A fixer.
The lawyer representing New York City Mayor Eric Adams on five federal charges has a history of representing high-profile clients. From Jay-Z to Alec Baldwin, Elon Musk, and Mr. Beast, to name a few.
Zephyr Teachout, a professor at Fordham Law School specializing in white-collar crime and campaign finance law, told Newsweek, "Spiro is not just about whether a jury ultimately convicts. He's also about shaping public opinion, and I think (Mayor) Adams is doing his best, but I don't think he's going to succeed."Ā
Spiro is currently representing Adams in his sexual assault case.
Many high-profile celebrities and politicians turn to Alex Spiro to help them out of trouble. A partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, Spiro is one of the more expensive lawyers in the field.
In my mini-deep dive of Alex. I learned that in 2016, Spiro represented Aaron Hernandez in his double homicide trial and the appeal of his 2015 murder conviction. In which he was initially acquitted. If you don't know who Aaron Hernandez was. He was a very controversial player in college. Where he attended Florida State and played for the Gators with Tim Tebow. Winning them 2 championships and his own prestigious awards. Later on, he was drafted by the New England Patriots, where he played alongside Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. In 2019, the highest court in Massachusetts reinstated Hernandez's murder conviction. Hernandez would miss going to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. He would also commit suicide in his jail cell. Leaving behind a girlfriend and baby daughter. The words John 3:16 were written in blood on his forehead and on the walls of his cell. Hernandez was found hanging by a sheet in his cell.
In 2017, Spiro won a lawsuit against New York City, which agreed to pay $4 million to Thabo Sefolosha. Who was an NBA player for the Atlanta Hawks at the time? In the federal lawsuit, he accused five police officers of false arrest and using excessive force during an encounter outside a Manhattan nightclub.

Jay-Z and Alex have a shared history. Jay-Z and Roc Nation asked Spiro in February 2019 to assist with the immigration arrest of rapper/songwriter 21 Savage. Which led to the rapper's release from federal custody. Robert Kraft (NFL owner) selected Spiro to join his legal team in March 2019. He defended him against misdemeanor charges of solicitation. Spiro, along with hip-hop artists Killer Mike, Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, and Chance the Rapper, sent a brief to the United States Supreme Court in March 2020. Outlining the ways the legal system stigmatizes and stereotypes rap music.
Remember that Meek Mill, Jay-Z, Robert Kraft, Michael Rubin, and others founded the Reform Alliance, also known as REFORM. The Reform Alliance is a non-profit organization that strives to reform probation, parole, and sentencing in the United States through legislation and lobbying.Ā
Is it just a coincidence that the majority of the founding board members of the reform alliance Spiro has represented? I mean, at this point, nothing would surprise me.Ā
REFORM Alliance was founded in January 2019 by Michael Rubin, Meek Mill, Jay-Z, Michael Novogratz, Clara Wu Tsai, and Daniel Loeb. Upon its founding, the philanthropists pledged a combined $50 million to the organization to create a bipartisan response to what they perceived as unjust sentencing laws in the United States.Ā
Meek Mill's sentence to two to four years in prison for doing wheelies on a dirt bike. Which violated the terms of his parole. Sparking the formation of the organization in November 2017. Rubin and Robert Kraft visited Meek Mill's jail, and Jay-Z and Rubin helped support Meek Mill's legal battle. Jay-Z, who served as an executive producer for āTime: The Kalief Browder Story,ā also took Michael Novogratz to visit a New York City jail. After Novogratz watched the film and desired to learn more.

The five men later collaborated with others to form REFORM Alliance. In January 2019, the REFORM Alliance initially launched at an event at John Jay College. John Jay College hired Van Jones as the Chief Executive Officer to lead REFORM. At its founding, REFORM established a goal to reduce the number of people impacted by probation and parole laws by one million over the course of five years. Reform has helped pass legislation in California, Michigan, Louisiana, and Virginia. REFORM has worked with numerous celebrities and executives, including Kim Kardashian, Madonna, and Jack Dorsey.

In my opinion, Spiro has made significant contributions to the Reform project. Just, most likely, silently. Giving his best lawyer advice to free anyone and everyone Jay-Z wants. Or wants to keep quiet. My research indicates that he and Jigga Man have a well-established business relationship. What do y'all think about this craziness? Will Spiro successfully navigate this situation for Jay-Z? Like Olivia would for Fitz?! Time will tell. I'll leave you with THE GOAT. Her take on Alex.
