Jay-Z intensified his fierce defense against the allegations of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl with Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2000. Launching an amended lawsuit against the woman's lawyer Tony Buzbee for defamation. The Roc Nation mogul, Shawn Carter, vehemently denied the Jane Doe’s “heinous” accusation. His high-powered attorney, Alex Spiro, laid out a defense that highlighted inconsistencies in the woman’s complaint.

“This is utter falsehood,” Spiro said. Combs' lawyers also refuted the woman's allegations, asserting that he has "never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor."
While Carter's team is battling to dismiss the woman's case in New York. The rapper has focused his wrath on Buzbee! Buzbee, a media-savvy national trial attorney, took the lead in the civil litigation against Combs. Buzbee, who claimed to represent over 120 alleged victims, also vowed to pursue other "high-profile" celebrities who he believed were involved or complicit in the alleged crimes.
Last Friday, Carter’s lawyers added a defamation claim to the lawsuit. Court documents reveal additional information about the demand letter and target Buzbee's reputation.
Buzbee's previous statements, which threatened to file criminal complaints and publicly shame a 'long list' of celebrities, should be considered. The message in the extortion demands was clear: pay up, or face a criminal investigation and extraordinary reputational harm,” Carter’s lawyers argue in court papers.

Carter claims Buzbee’s demand letter only gave a two-week window to commit to a “confidential mediation” regarding an alleged male and female victim who claimed they had been drugged and raped as minors.
“It has been my experience that when someone does this to a victim once, the likelihood is that they have done the same or similar things to others,” Buzbee allegedly wrote in the letter, bolding the sentence.
Buzbee’s clients were seeking “some substance’ by way of a settlement,” Carter’s lawyers allege. If Carter couldn’t reach an agreement, Buzbee would “take a different course.“ In short, Defendants placed a gun to Mr. Carter’s head,” the lawsuit adds.
“They were demanding that Mr. Carter either (a) pay ‘something of substance’ to stop the defendants from making public the wildly false allegations of sexual assault that would subject Mr. Carter to opprobrium and irreparably harm his reputation, family, career, and livelihood. Or (2) endure that financial and personal ruin. Defendants’ statements and correspondence made clear the immediate and extensive threat of exposure if Mr. Carter failed to pay.”
Carter’s attorneys claim that Buzbee began defaming Carter back in October. They accuse the attorney of embarking on a "media crusade to threaten and intimidate anyone who may have ever come into contact with Combs." They included screenshots of Buzbee’s social media activity. Including him liking a post that speculated Carter was involved in Combs’ alleged sexual assaults.
His attorneys also zeroed in on a TMZ article from Dec. 10. Buzbee indicated that his client might file a criminal complaint against Carter in New York.
“These were no idle comments,” the lawsuit claims. “Buzbee’s words were carefully calculated to leave the public with one unavoidable conclusion: that Mr. Carter was facing imminent criminal prosecution for rape. This is defamation per se because he directly and falsely accused Mr. Carter of committing the horrendous criminal act of rape. The new claim is patently frivolous and will be dismissed,” Buzbee wrote in a statement to Rolling Stone. “I’ve never said a word about him. This is just another attempt to bully and intimidate me. It just won’t work.”
As part of the amended lawsuit, Carter referenced an NBC News interview in which the accuser spoke to the outlet about the alleged assault. However, NBC found numerous subsequent inconsistencies in her story. Buzbee replied that “our client remains fiercely adamant that what she has stated is true, to the best of her memory. We will continue to vet her claims and collect corroborating data to the extent it exists.”
I am currently examining the claims made by the thirteen-year-old in the lawsuit. I have questions as well. Never want to victim-shame. I believe in believing victims and listening to their stories. However, blatant lies are easily disputable. It makes you wonder why the Buzzbee's law firm took this Accusers case. The last thing you want is someone who has lied and made allegations against the person you're trying to build your case against. Simple details, such as a Jumbotron being outside of the VMAs for onlookers to watch. Not true. This victim allegedly claimed to have met Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. Not true. He wasn't even in NY at the time. Also, the fact that she said she only had to wait twenty minutes for the limo driver to come back to get her. We all know Diddy and J. Lo were at Lotus. We've seen pictures of them arguing in the club. And Jay-Z was at Twirl; he wasn't even with them. I found a lot of the allegations in Jane Doe's lawsuit to be false.
Carter’s defamation claim against Buzbee is yet another escalation in the war between the pair. Just last week, Buzbee filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation. Buzbee accuses the company and its lawyers of employing "shadowy operatives" and offering lucrative payouts to illicitly lure his former clients into pursuing "frivolous" lawsuits against him.
Roc Nation quickly denied the accusation, calling the lawsuit “baloney” and a “pathetic attempt to distract and deflect attention” from the case. “Mr. Carter is not someone who can be intimidated,” Carter’s lawyers added on Friday. “He filed this lawsuit to preemptively call out Buzbee for the miscreant that he is.”
Meanwhile, Jay-Z has intensified the criticism by launching a series of personal attacks on Buzbee, a former US Marine.
‘You claim to be a marine?!' The rapper scoffed last week. 'Marines are known for their valor; you have neither valor nor dignity.'
Ouch….
Jay-Z has also called Buzbee a 'deplorable human being' and—possibly more hurtful for a successful attorney who likes to cut a dash—'an ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.'
Has Jay been talking to Hilary? ‘Deplorable’ is her word.
Tony Buzbee has his own troubles
His former clients filed two lawsuits last week accusing Buzbee of fraud and other misconduct. Both plaintiffs accuse Buzbee and his firm of abuse and unethical conduct in the handling of two personal injury suits last year. Matthew Ray Thompson filed one of the lawsuits. Matthew Ray Thompson claims Buzbee's firm intercepted his monthly payments after he sustained injuries while working as a deckhand on a vessel that collided with a barge in a Houston, Texas. Back in July of 2023.
Making headlines like “Diddy and Jay-Z Accusers’ Attorney Allegedly Gave Woman Venereal Disease, Lawsuit Claims, But He Says It’s a ‘Conspiracy’ ” doesn't help.
“This latest case, like the others, is frivolous, laughable, and ridiculous and will be dismissed along with the others," attorney Tony Buzbee tells PEOPLE.
A woman identifying herself as Jane Doe filed the lawsuit in New York Supreme Court on Thursday, Dec. 19. She alleged that she met Buzbee online in 2018. She claims the two had dinner and went to see a show in Houston before Buzbee booked a room at a five-star hotel. Doe alleged in court documents that the two had sexual intercourse, and Buzbee allegedly failed to tell her he had a venereal disease. Her filing does not disclose WHAT disease though. The accuser claims she started to "feel uncomfortable sensations around her groin" after their encounter and called her doctor. After undergoing testing. Doe asserts that her doctor confirmed her diagnosis of a sexually transmitted disease. She alleged that when she told Buzbee about her diagnosis, he didn't appear shocked and allegedly apologized. Doe claimed Buzbee was aware he had the venereal disease but asked her not to tell anyone about her testing positive. Buzbee allegedly then offered to give the woman free legal advice in exchange for her silence. Later in the lawsuit, Doe says she took Buzbee up on his offer and asked him to represent her in her 2021 divorce case. She alleges that while he was her attorney, Buzbee doctored medical records to make it look like Doe's estranged husband, not Buzbee, infected her with the venereal disease. Doe claims that Buzbee then pressured her to settle the divorce quickly without discovery so that no one would learn Buzbee infected her and doctored the records. Doe is suing Buzbee for legal malpractice, violation of judiciary law, breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent misrepresentation, and tortious interference. Buzbee has vehemently denied the allegations.
Even the people of Texas find him to be a shady character. Comments on his IG put him on blast.
“Tony Buzbee misconstrued his success as a lawyer who litigates against large companies as some kind of higher call to run for public office. He would just be a wacky larger-than-life River Oaks lawyer if he'd kept it to that, but instead decided to insert himself into things Houstonians did not want him for.”
Also,
“Attention whore! His stance on issues depend on where the money is coming from, no principles, defended Ken Paxton in impeachment, gold digger… that’s just off the top my head. I am sure there is more that isn’t coming immediately to mind.”
Either way. Not a good look, Tony. I have mentioned several times in my Instagram stories that I believe this man is going to mess up the trial. Somehow, some way. I sincerely hope for the truth-telling victims that this does not occur. Im not impressed with Tony so far. It seems the people of Texas aren't impressed either.
